Join
the Trail Center,
the Arastradero Preserve Stewardship
Project of Bay Area Action, and Any
Mountain on Saturday, April 22, 2000 and Saturday,
June 3rd, for rewarding days of volunteer work in the
outdoors at in Palo Alto's Arastradero Preserve. We're
building a new 1200 ft. reroute on the Acorn Trail to
replace a steep and eroded section, while passing through
beautiful oak woodland.
No experience
necessary!
Training, tools, and a great setting provided. Just wear
sturdy work shoes, long-sleeved shirt, long pants and a
hat. Bring plenty of fluids and gloves (if you have
them).
both days from 8:15 to 8:45 am at the
Preserve parking lot on Arastradero Rd. The parking lot is
small, so for those who can't bike or ride their horse, a
van will pick up people parked on the west side of
Arastradero Rd. between the Los Altos Hills boundary sign
and Page Mill Rd., and those parking at the Page Mill
Rd./280 Park & Ride, area starting at 8:30 until 9
o'clock. We'll work until 3 p.m. and lunch will be
provided.
We'll also be
out on Saturday,
May 13 to install culverts and cut more new trail. Meet at
the Preserve parking lot at 8:30 am and bring lunch. Snacks
provided at the end of the day
